Local Attractions for Wiarton, Ontario

Everyone knows Wiarton's famous Wiarton Willy, the popular forecasting albino groundhog. Febuary 2nd. since 1956, the attention of many in Canada turn to Wiarton Ontario and Wiarton Willy. On that day, Willy will peak out from hibernation, and determine whether it will be an early or late spring. The town's main throughfare, is Bedford Street with its many shops, icecream parlours and road houses. Horse back riding at Purple Valley is a great way to enjoy the forest and see birds and wildlife.

The waterfront has very Beautiful Parks to sit and enjoy a picnic while the kids play on the swings.

Their are also many boat docks to allow an opportunity for fishing.
