Great news, The Tragically Hip is scheduled to play at the Wiarton airfield June 27. The concert will also feature The Sam Roberts Band, The Arkells and The Spades. The sound will be multidimensional. It covers all genders. It’s a combination of Cananda’s best performers. The Hip is a 14-time Juno award-winning group and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2002. Tickets are on sale at Ticket Master $49.50 plus tax. Gates Open at 3p.m. with performances beginning at 3.30p.m. Wiarton held a concert last year featuring Blue Rodeo. It is so Great to have such Wonderful Performers so close to home. I was just wondering , Since its an airfield are dogs able to enter the venue?
because it’s a licensed concert, is there an age limit?
No dogs are not able to enter the venue, and no there is no age limit
I was also wondering if dogs were allowed, since it’s at an airfield
I have never been to this particular venue and was wondering how child friendly is it going to be? I have 2 and 3 year old boys and would like them to enjoy at least part of the day-they both love music and people?
Since it’s in an airfield would we be allowed to bring a sleeping bag to sit on or a lawn chair?
I have a metal rod in my back and i can’t stand for 8hrs straight.
is alcohol permitted through the gates or does it have to be purchased there?
what is the age limit me and my family are going and im 12 and need to know if i can go?
NO! Alcohol is not permitted. Beer tents on site; bring ID. There is a list of DO’s and Don’ts at the BULL website. PEACE.
12 Year olds CAN go it is ALL ages. Have fun!!!
The Concert organization on Saturday. in Wiarton was the worst I have ever seen. your security sucked! They did nothing and let all the little assholes butt in line at the front of the beer garden entrance meanwhile the group of us came from Kitchener and stood in line for 2.5 hours for our 1st beer. You should hire people who know what they are doing not stand there and say “What do you want me to do there are more of you than us?” What a stupid answer. One in the beer garden it was a sea of beer cups there was not enough garbage cans, people peed and vomited were they pleased and it was disgusting. I would not recommend to anyone to go to Wiarton again! So Basically I paid $55 to stand in line all night if it wasn’t a beverage line then it was the line for the bus. I was listening to the Bull 94.5 on the news it was said that it was a success. Well I don’t know where or who they asked but everyone I spoke to while in line for the bus said there was no organization for nothing and they would not come back there for a concert.
A frequent visitor to Wiarton.
Linda
I agree with Linda 100 percent, the music was superb, but everything else about it was HORRIBLE
I refuse to stand in line for 2 hours for a beer, we all know beer lines don’t move very fast as once you are in your are not leaving with line ups like that. So the rest of us had no chance to even get a beer, then some friends of mine who stood in line to get in after waiting one hour and a half got in to find out there was no beer left. There were hour long waits for the shuttle buses, the food was too far away from everything else it took you half an hour to walk to get fries,( if you didn’t mind waiting inline for over an hour to get the fries) How very disappointing! I hope if they plan on having it again next year they consider having a couple of beer tents and make the venue a little more wider and not so long and narrow.Next year, I will be staying home, knowing what I know now!
