Cape Croker Park is located on the eastern shore of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. Situated on the shores of Sydney Bay. Cape Croker Park is a Great get-a-way for family and friends. We have enjoyed camping at Cape Croker for the last 10 years and Love it. The campground is open for the first weekend in May through to Thanksgiving Day. It is nestled between high limestone bluffs, the Park has 315 campsites, suitable for tents and trailers, in several camping areas. Electrical sites are available in some of the camping areas. Sites are comfortably laid out and close to all you’ll need while you’re away from home. Many are very well treed. They have canoe rental and a volleyball court. Hike the Bruce Trail or swimming in Georgian Bay, simply soaking up the warm atmosphere, all visitors to the Cape Croker Indian Park are sure to have a wonderful time. Summer goes by very quickly we as a family like to do as many outdoor activities as possible. If your not into camping try someting new like renting one of our cottages. Wiarton Willy Festival 2012

The Wiarton Willie Groundhog Festival is one of the largest winter events in Ontario, with more than 40 planned activities, celebrating Canada’s weather-prognosticating groundhog.

Predicting the coming of spring is a very difficult and often controversial activity. Come February 2nd, there is only one way to be sure, and that is to wake up for Willie’s Prediction. Pancakes are ready by 6:30am and the rest is up to the laws of nature. The action starts more than a week earlier with the Sauble Beach “Winterfest” night-time parade, a Christmas tree bonfire, Battle of the Bands, and all kinds of other great indoor and outdoor events. Festival Of The Northern Lights

Festival of Northern Lights Owen Sound

Last weekend family came in from Windsor Ontario and we walked the Northern Lights. The kids as well as the adults were captivated by over 350 lighted displays and more than 18 kilometers of glittering lights strung along the banks of the Sydenham River in downtown Owen Sound. This display is lit daily from 5 pm to 11 pm. Many downtown stores, specialty shops and restaurants are open. Take a horse-drawn sleigh ride and capture the warmth and spirit of the Holiday Season as the Festival celebrates with eight weeks of special events, making Owen Sound the place to be this winter. The Chi-Cheemaun has also just arrived at its home for the winter docked along the harbour in down town Owen Sound.

June 18 2011 JOHNNY REID who recently sold out his Cross Country Canada Tour, “A Place Called Love”. DIERKS BENTLEY, DEAN BRODY, CHAD BROWNLEE and MATT ANDERSON. Roxy Theatre Owen Sound

The Roxy Theatre has live theatre and music performances. The building was built in 1912, this historic soft-seat opera house accommodates 400 people, and is located in Owen Sound. The Owen Sound Little Theatre produces four productions annually – a fall musical and three non-musical plays. There is free after-hours parking within easy walking distance. The marquee offers prominent signage for announcing upcoming performances. The Roxy is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible. These are some up and coming events at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound. Kevin Fox, The Irish Rovers, Country music atrists Gord Bamford and Aaron Pritchett and the play Macbeth.
