Summer is just around the corner. There are many different things to see and do. We are blessed with living on The Bruce Peninsula near Sauble Beach the Daytona Beach of Ontario. We try as a family to also experience as many different things as we can in the summer. Last year Ray and I were able to go to Rock The Park an outdoor event at Harris Park in London Ontario. This was the second year we attended this event. The line up in 2011 Featured Stone Temple Pilots, Our Lady Peace, Sloan and Bleeker Ridge, Meatloaf, Cheap Trick, Blue Oyster Cult and Bad Co’s Brian Howe and more…. Get your tickets early they sell out fast. This is a Great event that you don’t want to miss in 2012. Summer goes by very quickly so make it a Great one and try renting one of our cottages. Lake Francis Cottages is located 10 minutes from Owen Sound and 20 minutes from Sauble Beach The Datona Beach Of Ontario. We are on a private inland lake with lots of Great Bass fishing and swimming. Maybe take in an outdoor concert like Rock The Park or Saugeen Summer Nights http://saugeensummernights.ca/ Hike the Beautiful Bruce Trail, spend a day at Sauble Beach, camp at Tobermory, check out the ROM in Toronto, catch a movie at the drive inn in Owen Sound. Saugeen Summer Nights {3rd. Annual} Music Festival on June 17 2011 will start of with a bang featuring the PERFORMANCE of BACHMAN-TURNER and also DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS. June 18 2011 JOHNNY REID who recently sold out his Cross Country Canada Tour, “A Place Called Love”. DIERKS BENTLEY, DEAN BRODY, CHAD BROWNLEE and MATT ANDERSON. The location of this venue is at River Place Park just outside of Ayton Ontario. Camping is available. Ticket prices range from $55-$100 with an early bird price on now. In the past we have had guests enjoy a Great Get Away Weekend. Lake Francis Cottages is approx. 1 hr. from the venue. http://www.lakefranciscottages.com/

Saugeen Summer Night Music Festival {2nd Annual}. Guest Include Johny Reid, Terri Clark, George Canyon, Doc Walker, Dean Brody and many more. This event will take place on June 19 2010. Rain or Shine at Clifford Arena and Ball Park. A shuttle bus will take you to the venue if you are camping at River Place Park Campground. More info call 519-665-2228.
