Fall Hiking on The Bruce Peninsula is one of the best times to see the beauty it holds. The weather is cool but it is great for not having to deal with bugs. You will need a light jacket but we generally bring a backpack with some other clothing just in case. Binoculars, water, compass, Day Hike Book-Hiking The Bruce Trail which you can buy at any tourist information, a snack like granola bars, a camera and make sure you wear a good pair of shoes. Always try to leave in the morning so you can take your time and really enjoy the sights. The wildlife viewing is also very good at this time of year because there are not as many people on the trails. Victoria Day Sauble Beach
Well Victoria Day was cold but was lots of fun anyway. The waves off Lake Huron (Sauble Beach) were quite high. Sauble Beach Cottages (Sauble Beach Rentals) and Sauble Beach Campsites had the young and old holding blankets and wearing heavy coats to keep warm. Here at Lake Francis Cottages the guests were able to snuggle up and watch a movie in their cozy nest. The wind died down on Sunday night so they enjoyed sitting by a fire. The air was crisp and the stars were absolutely incredible. No one was brave enough to jump in the clear cold water but did enjoy a canoe ride early Monday morning. All of you who came out to enjoy the Victoria Day Long Weekend don’t forget Canada Day in Sauble Beach is just around the corner.
