Sauble Beach Kite Jam 2011
Sept 17-18 will be the second annual Sauble Beach Kitejam featuring a Kiteboarding competition including both amateur and pro international riders. There will be Kite Flying Demonstrations by clubs from all across Ontario and a Saturday night beach party. Kiteboarding is a sport that is becoming very popular in Sauble Beach. The shallow waters and high winds combine to create excellent conditions for riders enabling them to perform tricks and maneuvers in the a Instructor Daniel Medysky, who runs the KiteRider school and whose son Sam is Canada’s leading International Pro rider, has been working hard in putting together the Kiteboarding competition in conjunction with the Sauble Beach Festival and Events. In 1986, the Fergus Truck Show was established as a one-time event to raise funds for the Fergus & District Community Centre Complex Hall addition and to introduce area residents to the trucking industry. Today the Fergus Truck Show has grown to be North America’s largest truck show, both in paid attendance and the number of the big truck. The Fergus Truck Show is proud to feature over 150 million dollars worth of trucks, trailers, equipment, accessories and more, on display. The event is held at the Centre Wellington Community Sportplex, located at 550 Belsyde Avenue, Fergus, Ontario. The Fergus Truck Show has been entertaining guests for 25 years. It also rents close to 50 acres for camping, parking and show space. There is rough camping and some hydro sites are available at the grounds. Rock The Park 2011 London Ontario
Summer is just around the corner. There are many different things to see and do. We are blessed with living on The Bruce Peninsula near Sauble Beach the Daytona Beach of Ontario. We try as a family to also experience as many different things as we can in the summer. Last year Ray and I were able to go to Rock The Park an outdoor event at Harris Park in London Ontario and would not miss this year. http://www.rockthepark.ca/ Some of the performers last year were Alice Cooper, Heart, Peter Frampton, Night Ranger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Collective Soul, 3 Doors Down and many more.
