Fergus Truck Show
The Fergus Truck Show has grown to be North America’s largest truck show, both in paid attendance and the number of the big truck. The Fergus Truck Show is proud to feature over 150 million dollars worth of trucks, trailers, equipment, accessories and more, on display. The event is held at the Centre Wellington Community Sportplex, located at 550 Belsyde Avenue, Fergus, Ontario. The Fergus Truck Show has been entertaining guests for 25 years. It also rents close to 50 acres for camping, parking and show space. There is rough camping and some hydro sites are available at the grounds. Fergus is located approximately 60 miles west of Toronto, Ontario. Friday July 22nd Entertainment- Tribute Bands will rock the night away playing CCR, Kiss and Bryan Adams. Rock The Park 2011 London Ontario
Summer is just around the corner. There are many different things to see and do. We are blessed with living on The Bruce Peninsula near Sauble Beach the Daytona Beach of Ontario. We try as a family to also experience as many different things as we can in the summer. Last year Ray and I were able to go to Rock The Park an outdoor event at Harris Park in London Ontario and would not miss this year. http://www.rockthepark.ca/ Some of the performers last year were Alice Cooper, Heart, Peter Frampton, Night Ranger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Collective Soul, 3 Doors Down and many more. They have day passes and weekend passes. This is a Great event that you don’t want to miss in 2011. The performers have not yet been announced for 2011 but will be soon. Grand Bend Cottage Rentals
Grand Bend Cottage Rentals were busy for the August long weekend. My brother Denis came up from Windsor and said the traffic on Highway 21 was heavy. Grand Bend Cottages can be waterfront or a few blocks from the shoreline. The strip in Sauble Beach has many shops similar to those at Wasaga Beach and Grand Bend. Grand Bend Cottages and Wasaga Beach Cottages are approx. 2 hours away from Lake Francis Cottages. Guest at Lakefranciscottages have been really enjoying, catching Bass and Pike with the kids. The boats are out, the lines are in and the fish are waiting to be caught. We have Aug. 29-Sept7 open at our 2 bedrm and 3 bedrm waterfront cottages. Since it is the final week we are offering families a 3 day min. instead of a full week if they wish so they can spend some quality time before the summer ends. Victoria Day Sauble Beach
Well Victoria Day was cold but was lots of fun anyway. The waves off Lake Huron (Sauble Beach) were quite high. Sauble Beach Cottages (Sauble Beach Rentals) and Sauble Beach Campsites had the young and old holding blankets and wearing heavy coats to keep warm. Here at Lake Francis Cottages the guests were able to snuggle up and watch a movie in their cozy nest. The wind died down on Sunday night so they enjoyed sitting by a fire. The air was crisp and the stars were absolutely incredible. No one was brave enough to jump in the clear cold water but did enjoy a canoe ride early Monday morning. All of you who came out to enjoy the Victoria Day Long Weekend don’t forget Canada Day in Sauble Beach is just around the corner.
