Chi-Cheeman Leaves Owen Sound

Today people had their binoculars facing the waters of Georgian Bay as The Chi-Cheemaun left its winter home in the downtown South Bruce Peninsula of  Owen Sound to Tobermory. It will begin its season bringing people and cars from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. Last summer we sailed and took a tour boat from Tobermory’s harbour to see the shipwrecks, lighthouses and Flowerpot Island. The Chi-Cheemaun is the largest passenger vessel on the Great Lakes. It truly is an amazing Big Canoe.
