The Mackereth family arrived at the most fantastic cottage. The energy and thought that went into building 'THE CHALET' is simply fantastic. We were overwhelmed. The sad thing is that Craig is in Credit Valley Hospital and Laurie is staying with him. They really should have been the first visitors to enjoy 'THE CHALET'. We were honored to be the firsts guests. May all who follow enjoy the heart and soul that Annette and Ray put into this. We enjoyed watching the birds antics and the chipmunks scurrying around their oasis. It was so nice seeing butterflies again. We miss all this in the city. This truly is 'A little bit of heaven'. May all the Maurice family be blessed with peace and happiness.

The Smit and Fleming family had a wonderful week at THE CHALET .We tried to do a little fishing but with no success, the parents spent many hours untangling lines instead. THE CHALET has a wonderful charm. The paintings are a great touch. From our family to you.We loved this beautiful Oasis.

When we arrived we were overwhelmed with the beauty and serenity of THE CHALET. You were right Annette- all we needed to bring was clothes and food- everything we need is right here. You have everything planned and organized SO WELL! The design of THE CHALET, the decorations, the landscaping- awesome! The fishing was great too- 7 bass and 1 pike! It was entertaining to watch the squirrels and chipmunks being acrobats to find their food on the feeders. We should have brought out binoculars to watch the birds, though they are beautiful.

When we talked about this 'CHALET' never would have pictured 'this lovely castle'

For us it was more something similar to the little cottage. What a wonderful surprise we had to see this Dream House. You did a really good job and magnificent work. It is not hard to understand all the hours, time, effort and stress, and even time away from your children to make this beauty possible. But at the end the effort and sacrifice was worth it. Thank you for letting us stay at this wonderful and quiet place. We will relax and will come back again.

WOW, what a beautiful 'CHALET'! You worked your buts off and it shows. It is incredible!! Thank you for a wonderful relaxing time. It is so good to come up and visit and enjoy catching up with all of you! I can't wait to show the pictures to our family.

The Kemenys and Wright's enjoyed our stay very much. It was nice to see the hummingbirds and chipmunks. It was so thoughtful of you to put up feeders. The boys had wonderful time fishing and catching frogs. THE CHALET is awesome and beautifully decorated. Annette, you were right, it does has everything. Please get a fly swatter for when we come back next year. It was about the only thing missing. Ray and Annette, you are both wonderful people and it's obvious to see that you put your heart and soul into this CHALET and we felt honored to have been your guests.

Upon our arrival here we all thought that it was too good to be true. This place was just perfect and immaculate in detail and cleanliness. From our fishing trip to our peaceful fires by the water this weekend was one to never forget. With certainty we will be returning to this beautiful heaven for relaxation. We really appreciate you Annette and Ray for giving us this wonderful CHALET to enjoy. I'm sure we will be back and refer to many others.

It's amazing remembering and enjoying what it's like to have such a wonderful family. All of us under one roof, sharing a fun-filled and relaxing week together. Hope we can all enjoy many more years of this. This incredible Chalet is breath-taking; we wish we never have to leave. Thanks for making everything here so beautiful for all to enjoy. Oh and one more thing, the chipmunks really enjoy Timbits for lunch.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Chalet. It is very well equipped and organized, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our time here. The Chalet is beautiful and we hope to come back next year. Thanks very much.

A beautiful piece of Heaven. So beautiful, very hard to write about something you have to see for yourself. When you are continually busy, you forget what God created: birds, fish, trees, clean water, nature in general. Well, that is here at the Chalet. From the moment you get here, you are on vacation; just the view from the windows looking out is something. The lake is clean with lots of bass and pike; our kids caught 5 the first night and then we lost track. The canoe was great; it allowed us to tour around the outside nature which has many turtles and birds. Owen Sound had everything we needed, including beer. Sauble Beach was 20 min. away; it was good for the kids but it was great to come home to some privacy and quiet time. Well, must go. Wish we could stay another week but we will always remember this time and our kids say it was the best vacation ever.

Where do we begin? We had such a wonderful, peaceful and joyful stay here at the Chalet where the view is incredible, the stars are so bright and the birds are in abundance. How nice to sit on the porch and view nothing but trees and nature at its best. Thank you.

It has come time to leave and none of us are ready to go. They say time flies but not like it has in the past week. The comforts of the Chalet and the amazing decor made it very easy to relax and enjoy the views from the windows. The lake was crystal clear with lots of fish and the loons could be heard every morning while having our coffee. We will see you again.

WOW! What a beautiful and exciting place you have. We hadn't been here 20 minutes and already had fallen in love with the Chalet. The pictures on the website do not compare to the place. So very clean and roomy. The layout allowed us a view at all times. The use of the canoe was great for the week, although it is not good for 4 people; Don went overboard, it was a laugh. Caught lots of fish and saw a set of loons just like On Golden Pond. It was so quiet sitting by the lake near the camp fire and the stars dressed the sky. It was an amazing vacation. We will be back.
